Syphrit, 52, of Ellwood City, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.  Born on May 16, 1967, Randy was the son of Thomas and Shirley (Hollinback) Syphrit.  He married the former Lori Toland on April 30, 1994. Darrell L. Stadnik, 76 of North Sewickley Township passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice Heritage Valley. Born in Canonsburg on November 21, 1942, Darrell was the son of the late Stanley and Helen Kordella Stadnik. Darrell had retired as production manager from Calgon in Ellwood City. He was a graduate of California State College of PA where he received his bachelor degree in chemistry. Tomaszewski, who passed away on July 18, 2019, a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Conway on August 9, 2019, at 5 p.m. There will be a catered reception after the service in Stephan’s Hall, across the street from the church. Born in Ellwood City on July 2, 1956, Julia was the daughter of the late Tulio and Susan Riccardi Deluria.  She married Steve McKinney on January 23, 1975.  Julia worked at the Residence Inn in Cranberry Township.  She enjoyed swimming, crocheting, cooking and playing bingo.  She loved spending time with her five grandchildren and her great-grandson. Mary Ann Shaffer, 77 of Franklin Twp., formerly of Ellport passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 22, 2019. Born in Ellwood City on April 2, 1942, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Oczkowski Micklish.  Mary Ann was a member of Wurtemburg Methodist Church and active at the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City, where she belonged to the quilting club and volunteered at the soup kitchen.  Mary Ann worked as a legislative assistant for 17 years.  She was very community active when she lived in Ellport, where she was past president…

Born in Ambridge on February 15, 1931, Raymond was the son of the late John F. and Marie Szewczyk Tomaszewski.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Maryann Zajac on December 2, 1998. Shirley M. Shablesky, 81, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at UPMC Jameson surrounded by her family. Born September 18, 1937, Shirley was the daughter and step-daughter of the late Olive and Jack Graham.  She married Joseph J. Shablesky, Jr. on August 24, 1957 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 1997.  A member of Holy Redeemer Church, Shirley retired from Giant Eagle where she was the manager of the health and beauty department.  Shirley enjoyed everything about cooking, from reading one of her many cookbooks to watching cooking shows on television.  She loved…

Mary M. Magnifico, 89, of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence, on Saturday, July 13, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born in Beaver Falls on April 13, 1930, Mary was the daughter of the late Domenic and Agnes Muoio Morelli.  She married Thomas Magnifico on June 26, 1954 and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2015 after 61 years of marriage.  Mary was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.  She loved her family, and she absolutely loved taking care of her eight grandchildren. Robert Dean Alben, 66 of New Beaver Borough passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 6, 2019. Born in Ellwood City on December 7, 1952, Dean was the son of the late Arthur LeVern and Elvira Elizabeth Francis Alben.  Dean had retired from Russell Trucking in Wampum as a truck driver.  He was a member of the Polish White Eagles in Chewton where he had played on the pool team.  Dean also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
