Mrs. Grace Ciccozzi, 91, of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, July 21st, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Beaver. Grace was born on July 15th, 1932 in Ellwood City to the late Lugo and Mary (Maio) Ottavio. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950, where she was in the “top ten” of her class. Mrs. Susan L. “Sue” Westlund, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away at 9:40 am at the UPMC Passavant in McCandless Twp., after a short, but hard battle with cancer. Sue was born on March 13th, 1945 in New Castle, to the late Joseph and Lillian (Ferrante) Evans. She was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School and was truly looking forward to their upcoming 60th class reunion. Sue had numerous jobs over the years besides being a loving wife and mother. Mr. James R. Smilak, 74, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center. Mr. Smilak was born in New Brighton on September 11th, 1948 to the late Alex and Rose (Simko) Smilak. He is a member of the Beaver Falls High School class of 1966. James enlisted with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War on November 28th, 1967 and served until his honorable discharge on July 11th, 1969 with the rank of SP 4. Joseph was born at the Beaver Valley Medical Center on January 3rd, 1982 to the late Joseph Carmen Mangelli, Sr. and Jamie (Hamilton) Brightwell of Koppel. Arthur F. Lowrie III, 61, of Ellwood City passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, July 1st, 2023. Arthur was born on January 11th, 1962 in Pittsburgh to Arthur F. and Joanne (Griffin) Lowrie Jr.. Artie attended Lincoln High School and The Culinary Institute of Pittsburgh, which included a trip to Paris. He loved the cellars where the cheeses were made.
