Chamber Executive Director of Media Accepting New Job Position

Jillian Court, Executive Director of Media, for the Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce, has accepted a new position with the Lawrence County Conservation District as a Conservation Technician. Jillian has served as a crucial part of not only the Chamber, but as the head of Ellwood City Community Enrichment, Secretary for Ellwood City Revitalization, Treasurer for All Aboard Ellwood, and sits on multiple committees. Two Hartman Elementary Students Received Commendations

Two students, Jacob Hembly age 12 and Rondele Irving age 11, received commendations from the Ellwood City Police Department and Mayor Anthony Court for the students “Doing The Right Thing”. In addition, the ECPD presented the students with gift certificates from Domino’s Pizza for “Doing The Right Thing”. Borough Of Ellwood City Announces Utility Account Budget Plan

The Ellwood City Borough Council adopted Resolution #2004-4 which approves a budget payment plan for utility accounts. These accounts, however, have to be under certain provisions. Provision one states that customers may complete the application form provided by the Borough during the annual open enrollment period. This period is from the third Monday in March through the third Friday in April. Following, the second provision mentions that the first budget-billing amount will appear on the May utility bill. Upcoming ServSafe Food Safety Certification Class

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. — Starting in 2020, the Pennsylvania Food Code will require that the person in charge of a food service operation be a certified food protection manager — and such a person must be onsite at all times during operating hours. That means at least one employee on each shift must become certified. Ellwood City Man Admits He Trafficked Cocaine

PITTSBURGH – A resident of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, United States Attorney Scott W. Brady announced on Monday. Jeffrey Vitale, 29, of Ellwood City pleaded guilty to one count before Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab. In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that on or about February 16, 2018, Vitale distributed and possessed with intent to distribute a quantity of cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance.
