The Ellwood City Italian American Heritage Foundation, at the February Wolves Club meeting, honored the organization with an appreciation plaque in recognition for all they have done and continue to do for our community. Franklin Township Seeking Volunteer Position For Planning Commission

Franklin Township is looking for volunteers for its five-member planning commission. The board meets once a month on the first Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. to review subdivisions, land developments, and potential ordinances. Gov. Wolf Revises Mitigation Order on Gatherings and Lifts Out-of-State Travel Restrictions

As COVID-19 cases continue to decline and the state’s vaccination plan is amplified, the Wolf Administration announced revised and lifted mitigation restrictions that are effective statewide today. “Pennsylvania is taking a measured approach to revising or lifting mitigation orders,” Gov. Borough of Ellwood City Adopts Utility Account Budget Plan

According to a press release made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, a utility account budget plan has been announced. The Ellwood City Borough Council adopted Resolution #2004-4 approving a budget payment plan for utility accounts under the following provisions: Customers may complete the application form provided by the Borough during the annual open enrollment period from the third Monday in March through the third Friday in April. The first budget-billing amount will appear on the May utility bill. The maximum budget periods will be twelve (12) months with all balances due to be settled in the 12th month….

Hall Industries Expands Into New Facility In Grove City, Creating 57 New Jobs

Hall Industries, an Ellwood City family-owned engineering and manufacturing company with multiple locations in the commonwealth, will streamline its operations in western Pennsylvania into a new facility in Mercer County, creating 57 jobs, Governor Tom Wolf announced this week. Hall Industries will acquire the 468,000-square-foot Cooper Industrial Commons—a brownfield site in Grove City—and will renovate, purchase new machinery and equipment, and provide employee training. While certain operations will be streamlined to the new facility, the company’s existing Pennsylvania facilities will remain open.
