ELLWOOD Hosts 18th Annual High School Engineering Day

ELLWOOD, in partnership with Lawrence County School-to-Work, hosted their 18th annual High School Engineering Day on Thursday, March 7, at ELLWOOD City Forge. More than 20 students from area high schools visited the ELLWOOD location to learn about engineering careers and more. The event is designed to be both fun and educational as the students had the opportunity to witness ELLWOOD City Forge’s state-of-the-art forging process as well as material testing and machining. Open House & Ribbon Cutting Set For Perry School Construction Completion

The Ellwood City Area School District is pleased to announce that the construction at Perry Lower Intermediate School has been completed. “We are so excited to bring this project to a close and to allow our students to benefit from the updated learning spaces that are available to them,” said Dr. Wesley Shipley, Superintendent of Schools. The project included updating the electric and plumbing systems as well as installing new HVAC throughout the entire building. Borough Of Ellwood City Announces Utility Account Budget Payment Plan

In a press release made available by the borough on Friday, March 1st, the Ellwood City Borough Council has adopted a Utility Account Budget Plan. The Borough Council adopted Resolution #2004-4 approving a budget payment plan for utility accounts under the following provisions: Customers may complete the application form provided by the Borough during the annual open enrollment period from the third Monday in March through the third Friday in April. PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh-based nonprofit the Mansmann Foundation launched its premier program Entrepreneurs Forever, at an event on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Upstart Manufacturers Coalition Awarded $236,000 Grant from PA Dept of Labor and Industry

MERCER – A collaboration of local manufacturers, including two from Ellwood City, working together to address shared workforce development challenges was awarded a $236,786 grant from the Industry Partnership program of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Entrepreneurs Forever To Host Small Business Owners Program

Entrepreneurs Forever will host an informational event on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, welcoming business owners from Beaver County. Local Fire, EMS Companies Receive Much-Needed State Grants

Grant funding will be coming to several first responder companies in the 9th Legislative District under a program administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC) within the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), according to Representatives Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) and Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence). Brown Announces Area Career and Technical School Receives Grant

HARRISBURG – Rep.
