Veterans’ Specialists to Visit Gibbons’ Office Next Week

To assist veterans and their families, state Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, today announced he will host veterans’ specialists in his Ellwood City office. Gibbons said Stephanie Bengoa and Ryan Paglia will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10 at his Ellwood City office, located at 438 Line Ave., to lend help to veterans and their families. Class of 1954 “Life is a Beach” Reunion

The sign welcomed the 1954 Lincoln classmates to “Life is a Beach” as presented by the umbrella picnic table, set with a champagne bottle and service, framed by two Adirondack chairs draped with beach towels on the lawn of the Ellwood City Saxon Club, on Saturday, July 16 at 3 p.m. The attendees entered the hall entrance directed by the arrow sign held by a perched sea bird on the left and on the right, beach “sand” with two sand chairs holding beach towels set around an umbrella table. Early Learning Open Enrollment at Ewing Park on Aug. 6

Early Learning open enrollment. will be held at Ewing Park in Shelter 3A on Aug. 6 from noon to 3 p.m. The program offers childcare for infants, toddlers and preschool children.The program is through Lawrence County Community Action Partnership (LCCAP), a non-profit organization in Lawrence County that serves individuals in need through a variety of programs. Community Building, One Soul at a Time

Since 2007, a group of people has been gathering faithfully on the first Thursday of the month to sing, pray and listen to an inspirational talk. They close the service with refreshments and fellowship. This simple, steady injection of “goodness” is changing lives, and even influencing Ellwood City for the better. Holy Redeemer Parish is celebrating 50 Golden Bazaar years starting Wednesday, July 27 and continuing through Saturday July 30.
