Bernstine to Host March 27 Seminar on PA’s Fish and Boat Programs

Ellwood City – To better inform area residents about the many state programs designed to promote fishing and boating activities, state Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) is hosting a free fishing and boating seminar on Monday, March 27, at 5 p.m. at the Ellwood City Borough Building. “We have many anglers and boaters in the 10th District, and I hope they consider coming out to learn what Pennsylvania’s waterways have to offer this season,” Bernstine said. CCBC Named to Pennsylvania Business Centrak’s “Top 100 Organizations” List

February Mayor’s Advisory Meeting

On February 23, the Mayor’s Advisory Committee met in council Chambers; parking problems were discussed, especially vehicles parking on corners posing difficulties to drivers. Also discussed were the All Terrain Vehicles on city streets. Mayor Court reported that Jozek is in poor health and commented that, “there will never be another K9 quite like Jozek”. The fight against drugs continues and there have been 375 arrests since Mayor Court took office. It was reported that 3 new businesses have recently opened in the borough: John DeCaro Law Firm, Consignment Shop and Smoking Dave’s Barbecue. Complaints were received about free-running dogs…

ELLWOOD CITY – Rep. Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 held their monthly meeting on February 8, at 5p.m. at Pizza Joe’s with a Valentine Party festivity. The lodge hosted the pizza luncheon that was served by officers, Lois DiFrischia, Pudue LaCava, and members, Jackie Perno, Mary Jane Folino and Christine Butchelli. PPA Factors, Energy Costs and Consumption Comparison for billings Dec. 2016 – March 2017

The attached information is being provided in order to inform Ellwood City Electric customers of the effect the reduction in the Transmission and Capacity charges set by PJM has had upon the Rate Adjustments (PPA Factor) and customer billings during the months of December 2016 through the upcoming billing in March 2017. Comparisons of PPA components (energy purchases, American Municipal Power-power charges, as well as Transmission and Capacity Charges) were used. The Rate Adjustment is added to the electric bill of each user, residential, commercial and industrial. The Rate Adjustment for December of 2016 dropped to 2.71 cents from 4.11…

1954 Lincoln Class “Nite at the Movies”

Pudue LaCava hosted the 1954 Lincoln Class “Nite at the Movies” committee at her Mt. Vernon Drive home at 2p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16. Changing schedules, a business session was first held, Ilene Gardner conducted the session on behalf of the co-chairmen. Financial reports were given by Clemmy Sirimarco. Bernstine Announces State Funding to Help Area Veterans

ELLWOOD CITY — Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) announced today that three organizations in the 10th District dedicated to assisting local veterans received more than $15,000 in grant funding through the Pennsylvania Veterans’ Trust Fund (VTF). The Beaver County Office of Veterans Affairs received $7,500, and the Lawrence County Office of Veterans Affairs received $3,000 to enhance outreach for veterans.
