Siren Test September 1

The Beaver Valley Power Station will be conducting their annual Siren Test on Thursday September 1st, 2016 at approximately 11 am. These are the siren located within the ten mile area of the Power Station. There will also be a Swift 911 Mass Notification message sent out to the residents with a landline and registered cell phones. Gibbons thanks residents for participating in Tele-Town Hall

HARRISBURG, Aug. 24 – State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence, today said his Tele-Town Hall meeting held Tuesday night showed that 10th Legislative District constituents’ top three concerns are job creation, property tax reduction and health care. Electric Comparison: July 2015 vs. July 2016

Bob Villella, the borough manager, wanted the following message forwarded to the residents of Ellwood: “The following information is being provided to inform Ellwood City Electric customers to a comparison of Electric Sold and Purchase Power Adjustment (PPA) or Rate Adjustment in July of 2015 with July of 2016. The Rate Adjustment for July of 2016 (the August bills due in September) will be $0.0135 per kwh. This amount will be added to the electric bill of each user, Residential, Commercial and Industrial. Class of 1954 August Meeting

Pudue La Cava hosted the 1954 Lincoln Class “Life is a Beach” committee for a wrap-up meeting at her residence on Thursday, August 11. The session began with lunch provided by committee members, Ann Amadio, Paul Abraham, Arlene “Pinky” Maielli, Ilene Gardner, Glemmy Sirimarco, and La Cava. Gardner and La Cava served, Gardner later shared her birthday cake- prepared for her by Maielli. Abraham conducted the business session that followed. Notification of Tax Office Hours in August

Mary Ann Portugallo, Ellwood City tax collector located in the municipal building, informs the public that school discount is usually due by August 31 but is now extended to September 15. Her office will remain regular – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
