Notification of Tax Office Hours in August

Mary Ann Portugallo, Ellwood City tax collector located in the municipal building, informs the public that school discount is usually due by August 31 but is now extended to September 15. Her office will remain regular – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

5th Annual Connoquenessing Creek Cleanup

Calling All Volunteers & Supporters! The 5th Annual Connoquenessing Creek Cleanup is approaching! Please help us restore this important waterway back to its beautiful, natural state by removing the physical garbage that consumes it. So far we have removed over 200,000 pounds of garbage, including over 2,000 tires from just 30 miles of the 50 mile waterway! Pie Festival!

The Annual Pie Festival hosted by the Lincoln Blue Band will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25 at Helling Stadium. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. This is a special event to kick off the Blue Band’s fall entertainment. All Blue Band members and fall sport team members will be announced. Each member will receive a free piece of pie. Mayor Presented with Gold Watch

Ellwood City Mayor Anthony Court was recognized by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association for outstanding achievements in High School athletics in his 32 years of service. He was presented with a gold watch at the Awards banquet held at the Hilton in Harrisburg on August 6, 2016. Court has officiated numerous state play-off games including Western State finals and PA State finals in his illustrious 32 year career.
