“Toys for Tots” Collection Spot at Senator Vogel’s Office

State Senator Elder Vogel, Jr.’s office will be collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program through December 9th. If you would like to participate, please drop off any new, unwrapped toys at the Senator’s office at 488 Adams Street in Rochester. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Sign up for Wampum Christmas Parade Treat Bags

Sign-up for ‘Treat Bags from Santa’ begins Friday Nov 4th at the Wampum Boro Bldg.  As in past years, the Wampum Christmas Parade begins at 1 PM on the first Saturday in December.  Immediately following the Parade, children who are registered go to the Wampum Gymnasium to visit Santa and Mrs. Clause and receive a treat bag.   Treats are free for Wampum area residents and cost $7 per bag for those outside the area.  Treats must be ordered and paid for ahead of time. Ellwood City Area Public Library: Activities for Week of October 31, 2016

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following: Tuesday, November 1, at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. — Family Laptime, an interactive program designed for babies as young as 6 months old and preschoolers up to 5 years old. The Ellwood City United Fund held its annual “Get Acquainted Mixer” at Nico Lucianos Café on Wampum avenue last Tuesday evening. Over 60 invited guest and service agencies enjoyed special prepared refreshments, a silent auction and door prizes. Connie MacDonald, president of the United Fund introduced city and county guest that were in attendance. CCBC Nursing Alumna Helps Patient Attend College for the First Time

Monaca, PA – Ms. Dolores Myers always wanted to go to college but never had the opportunity until the age of 85. First United Methodist Church, located at 416 Crescent Ave, Ellwood City, PA 16117, is hosting their 39th annual turkey dinner on Saturday November 5 from 4p.m.-6p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids aged 5-10, and free for children under 5. Gibbons resolution designates October as ‘Agent Orange Awareness Month’

HARRISBURG, Oct. 24– State Rep.
