PHOTOS: Wolverines Defeat Rival Panthers 58-32

Ellwood City collected a section victory on the road Tuesday night, picking up a 58-32 victory over the Riverside Panthers. Joseph Roth led all scorers with 19 points and was among seven Wolverines who scored in the victory.  Roth finished with 13 rebounds and five assists. Audrey J. Latshaw, 100, of Ellwood City beloved mother and grandmother passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on January 11, 2024 at the Cambridge Falls Retirement Home, surrounded by her loving family. Officer Robert Bird Receives A Commendation For Life Saving Act

Officer Robert Bird received a commendation from Mayor Anthony J. Court for his heroic acts that saved a man’s life. Officer Bird was dispatched to a vehicle that crashed into a residence on Orchard Avenue in Ellwood City last week. Upon arrival he encountered a truck that caught fire. The driver of which was trapped inside suffering from a medical emergency. Roth Stuffs Stat Sheet, Wolverines Beat Beaver Falls

Joseph Roth stuffed the stat sheet as the Wolverines defeated Beaver Falls 66-41 Friday night at Lincoln High School. The senior big man finished with 24 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 assists. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

ASSAULT/BURGLARY: A 17-year-old teenager from Wampum is charged with Assault With a Weapon after a Burglary attempt on January 6th. According to a police report, and at approximately 1:51 a.m., police say he broke into a residence on McKim Way, Franklin Township, Beaver County and assaulted two people inside. PA State Police say a 41-year-old man who owned the home noticed a burglar walking down the stairs of his house, later identified as the 17-year-old boy. Longtime BC3 President Nick Neupauer Announces Plans To Retire At End of Year

Butler –  The president of Butler County Community College for nearly a third of its existence today announced plans for his departure from the 59-year-old institution of higher education. Lincoln High School graduate Dr. Nick Neupauer, 56, and BC3’s Chief Executive Officer for 17 years, wrote in an email sent today to BC3 employees that he will retire December. 31st. Stonecrest Business Park Project Among Finalists For PA Strategic Investments Program

The Stonecrest Business Park project in Wampum was recently announced as one of only 20 applicants moving forward in a Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites Program. The program, administered by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development under the Pennsylvania First Program, provides grant funding to develop competitive sites and support relocation or expansion of businesses within the commonwealth. Congressman Mike Kelly Visits The Borough

Mayor Anthony Court welcomed Congressman Mike Kelly in the borough last Friday. Kelly was in the area and met with the mayor and Sgt. Michael McBride concerning grant funds for police funding.
