Four Area Athletes To Be Represented In Penn Ohio All-Star Game

Four area athletes will be represented at the annual Penn Ohio All-Star Game next Thursday. Riverside announced that three members of their 2022 football team have been selected to play in a notable game while Ellwood City will send one athlete from their 2022 team. The 44th Annual Penn Ohio All-Star Game will be Played on Thursday, June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at Salem’s Sebo Stadium in Salem, Ohio. Gerald “Jerry” Kroll Presented With Proclamation

Dr. F. Gerald “Jerry” Kroll was presented with a proclamation by George Celli, President of Ellwood City Borough Council last week. Dr. Kroll was presented the proclamation for all the service he had given to Ellwood City and around the world. Junior Darren McDade broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday as Riverside rallied again to collect a 8-5 victory over Punxsutawney in the Class-3A PIAA semifinals at Jack Critchfield Park on the campus of Slippery Rock University. Mayor Anthony J. Court announced the 1st Beautification Award winner for 2023 season – congratulations to Larry and Karen Krummert! MAYOR: Speeding Enforcement In Borough

Mayor Anthony J. Court and the Ellwood City Police Department wants to announce that next week throughout the Borough of Ellwood City, Officers of the Ellwood City Police Department will again be conducting speeding enforcement. The department will be using their certified Enrad Laser speed timing device. Citations WILL BE issued for non-compliance. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: David Carter, 43, of Ellwood City is charged with Disorderly Conduct, Terroristic Threats, and Public Drunkenness after an incident on June 4th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 6:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Franklin Avenue for a report of a male making threats. Upon arrival, police spoke with one of the victims who related a male, later identified as Carter, came across the street and started making threats. Christian Lucarelli and the Riverside Panthers had everything working on Thursday, winning big over Fairview 9-3 at Jack Critchfield Park on the campus of Slippery Rock University.
