The Wolverines were wiped out 19-0 by visiting Western Beaver on Friday night as part of the Ellwood City homecoming festivities. Saylee Grinnen was crowned 2019 Homecoming Queen at halftime. Skyler Fox & Justin Hand Both Qualifty For PIAA Golf Finals

A special congratulations go out to Riverside student-athletes Skyler Fox and Justin Hand for both qualifying for the PIAA Western Regional golf finals. In a bid to become the first four-time WPIAL boys golf champion, Skyler Fox finished in second place on Thursday, after firing a round of 71, one off of the lead. Sewickley Academy senior J.F. POLICE REPORTS: Several Traffic Stops Lead To Various Violations; Reckless Driving; Assault

According to a criminal complaint, on September 16 at approximately 9:00 am, in a routine patrol, Ellwood City policeman observed old Jason Santellan, 40, of Ellwood City, walking east on Crescent Avenue near Cherry Way. After confirming an active bench warrant for Mr. Santellan, police made contact with Santellan. Police asked Santellan if he had anything on him at which time Santellan provided police with a black box that he stated contained a ‘dab.’ Police took Santellan into custody on the warrant. Skyler Fox Claims MAC Boys Golf Championship

It has been a special two days for the Riverside Golf team. First, on Tuesday both Justin Hand and Skyler Fox individually qualified for the WPIAL Individual Finals. And more recently, on Wednesday at the Midwestern Athletic Conference (MAC) boys golf championship, Fox took home the Championship after carding a 4-under round of 68 at the aptly named Fox Run Golf Course in Beaver Falls. PHOTOS: Big Plays Doom Wolverines In Defeat; Riverside Panthers Victorious

Big plays doomed the Ellwood City, as a 94-yard first quarter touchdown run, kick-started what became on offensive onslaught by Neshannock as the visiting Lancers routed the Wolverines 44-0 Friday night. The Lancers used five scoring plays of over 30 yards, including two scoring runs of 55+ yards, to race away to victory. The Wolverines offense was held to under 100 yards of total offense.  The game was called with 4:08 left when a series of lightning strikes occurred in the distance.
