The Ellwood City Area School District and its Board of Directors will hold its public hearing on Wednesday, November 4th at 6:30 p.m. to share information and gather community feedback regarding the ongoing Facilities Master Plan and the potential transition from four school buildings to three.
The hearing has been moved to the Sgt. Leslie H. Sabo Jr. Memorial Auditorium at the Lincoln High School. All visitors should enter through Door “J.”
To help ensure that everyone who wishes to speak has an opportunity to do so, the district is asking speakers to sign up in advance to provide public comment. Advance registration will help organize the speaking order and conduct the hearing as efficiently and respectfully as possible according to the district.

Advance registration for public comment will close on November 3 at 8:00 a.m.; however, individuals are welcome to register to speak upon arrival on November 4 as well.

HARTMAN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL CLOSING HEARING
Pursuant to Article VII, Section 780 of the Pennsylvania Public School Code of 1949, as
amended, and the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act of 1986, July 3, P.L. 388, No. 84, as
amended, notice is herewith given that the Board of Directors of the Ellwood City Area
School District will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 6:30
p.m. in the Sgt. Leslie H. Sabo Jr. Memorial Auditorium at the Lincoln High School, 501
Crescent Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117 upon the question of whether or not to
permanently close the North Side Primary School located at 501 Orchard Ave. Ellwood
City, PA 16117, the Perry Lower Intermediate School located at 627 Portersville Rd,
Ellwood City, PA 16117 or the Hartman Intermediate School located at 410 4th St.
Ellwood City, PA 16117 and, if one of these schools is to be permanently closed,
whether any closure would occur at the end of the 2026-2027 school year or the
2027-2028 school year.
