The Ellwood City boys golf team defeated Mohawk on Wednesday afternoon to remain unbeaten in its regular season.
Four Wolverines shot sub-40 as Ellwood City won 191-240 at Del Mar Golf Course.
Luca Carsele, Gino Biondi, and Adam Jeffcoat each shot 37 while Cam Keller joined with a round of 39. Dante Venezie rounded out the scoring with a round of 41 for the victors.
Ellwood City (12-0 Overall) will next host Riverside on Thursday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. at Del Mar GC.
The Lady Wolverines golf team picked up a 211-215 victory over Seton-LaSalle on Tuesday to improve its regular season record to 6-2. Ava Trputec finished with a team best round of 47 for Ellwood City.

The Ellwood City girls tennis team knocked off Hopewell on Thursday afternoon.
Olivia Parsons (6-2, 6-0) and Chloe DiCerbo (6-1, 6-2) earned singles victories while the duo of Hannah Cameron & Jaiden Cress (6-1, 6-2) picked up a victory in doubles.
The Lady Wolverines (2-2 Overall) next host Lincoln Park on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in Ewing Park.
CROSS COUNTRY SWEEPS
The Ellwood City boys and girls cross country teams picked up victories over Beaver Falls and Beaver County Christian on Tuesday.
Sophomore Gio Venezie (18:09.00) paced a trio of Wolverine boys who placed 1-3 in the 5000 meter run. Juniors Jacoby McKinney (18:30) and Reese Edwards (18:30.20) also earned top 3 finishes.
Junior Peyton Cooper (22:54.80) earned the top overall mark as the Wolverines took the top six marks in the girls 5000 meter run.
Freedom did not participate today; their match will be rescheduled due to the events at the high school.
The cross country teams turn their focus to a Red White & Blue Invitational on Saturday before returning to section place on September 15th.
