Ellwood City Wolves Club Monthly Meeting Notes

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 met at the Connequenessing Country Club on Wednesday October 22, 2025.

The members and guests were recognized for their participation in the recent Oktoberfest held on October 5, 2025 in Ewing Park. Chairman Dennis Boariu reported on the success of the Oktoberfest raising $26,202, which is primarily used for scholarships.

The Wolves Club moto is Pro Bono Publico which means “for the good of the public” and selects a community group each year to benefit from their fundraising programs. This year the Wolves Club provided $2000.00 to The Carpenter Project.

The Coordinator, Steve Miller, and Treasurer Cindy Rosaci, accepted the check on behalf of the Project.

Miller reported that they have been doing projects for homeowners for 24 years including this July’s efforts, averaging 50-75 projects a year. These include power washing, painting, brush removal, repairing decks and steps, installing handrails and handicapped ramps. Anyone who is a homeowner in the Ellwood City and Riverside School Districts is eligible. The Project notifies the public through church bulletins in March in order to line up the Projects for completion in July. Handicapped ramps can be installed all year long.

President Mike DeOtto reported that the next Wolves Club meeting is on November 12, 2025, at the Connequenessing Country Club. The annual Christmas party will be held on December 10, 2025, at the Connequenessing Country Club.
