Ellwood City Public Library Activities For The Week Of September 8th

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

HOURS

Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

NOTE

The Library is taking books for the book sale. Reminder: we do not take Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Magazines and VHS tapes.

Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 1:00 p.m. – “Afternoon Book Group for Adults,” will be discussing the book “The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store” by James McBride.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 7:00 p.m. – “Twenty-Something Book Group,” will be discussing the book Vespertine” by Margaret Roberson on Zoom.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 6:00 p.m. – “STEAM and Storytime,” The Dot is the theme.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
  • 6:00 p.m. – “Friends of the Library,” will meet in the program room of the library.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Adult Coloring,” relax and color with our coloring supplies or your own.
  • 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” come and work on your own individual projects.

SAVE THE DATE

Saturday September 20th is National Dance Day! We will have an instructor and dancing in the program room 11:00 a.m. – Noon. All ages welcome.

Saturday September 27th the library will close at noon. We will open for a Magical Library. This Harry Potter Theme is fun for kids of all ages.
