Virginia Smith Named One Of The 18 Under Eighteen Honorees for Junior Achievement

Lincoln Jr/Sr. High School 7th Grader Virginia Smith has been announced as one of the 18 Under Eighteen honorees for Junior Achievement of Western PA (JA).

The newest 18 Under Eighteen class, presented by the EQT Foundation, is a constellation of extraordinary young leaders redefining what it means to inspire and create meaningful change. From trailblazing entrepreneurs and visionary medical pioneers to passionate advocates who are fostering a society where everyone can thrive, these young luminaries are the trailblazers of two generations rewriting the very definition of influence.

At just 13 years old, Virginia Smith founded From Books to Blessings, an organization that collects books and hosts sales to support those in need. Her first sale is set for the Ellwood City Fall Fest, with all proceeds benefiting her local community. Virginia aspires to transform this initiative into a nonprofit to expand its impact. As a dedicated seventh-grader, she excels academically and participates in her school’s marching band. Inspired by the Carson Scholar program and her brother’s nonprofit, she demonstrates leadership and a commitment to making a difference. Known for her compassion and generosity, Virginia’s efforts reflect her dedication to creating lasting change as the youngest of five siblings.

A celebration of the inspiring achievements of the 2025 Class will take place at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th at Acrisure Stadium.
