Mayor Anthony J. Court and Jack Maine organized the Ellwood City Boxing Club to clean the Memorials and Monuments at the Ellwood City Borough Building on September 11, 2024.
“This group of individuals who came forth and did an outstanding job of cleaning and honoring the Monuments,” said Mayor Court in an emailed statement.
Jack Maine and Bob Boyle, coaches at the Ellwood City Boxing Club, are to be commended along with all of the boxers who came forward and volunteered their efforts for such a worthy cause.
“I personally want to take this opportunity to thank them and commend each and every one of them and I’m sure our community appreciates their efforts also,” added Mayor Court.
