Lawrence County is announcing $523,291.51 in grant funding for municipal paving projects through the Lawrence County Transportation Improvement Program, assisting with $1,590,708.04 in total paving project cost for 21 projects in 14 municipalities.
“We’re glad to be able to assist our municipalities with this much needed infrastructure funding. While Lawrence County ultimately does not own any roads, infrastructure is a top priority for the Board of Commissioners and we will continue to fight for more funding to pave more roads and repair more bridges,” said Morgan Boyd, Chairman, Lawrence County Board of Commissioners.
