Senior Katie Stang took advantage of the senior spirit and scored 39 points, breaking her high score record last year by seven. Stang has scored 895 points during her junior and senior years.
The Lady Panthers dominated New Brighton 65-22 in the Senior Night conference game held on Thursday, Feb. 4. Seniors Jordan Annarumo, Morgan Bailey, Ashely Boehm, Abbey Matiko, Katie Stang and Suzuno Kimara were honored prior to the game.
Riverside consistently outscored New Brighton and the second quarter was 22-2. Seniors Annarumo and Matiko scored nine and seven while Bailey landed a three-pointer.
On Monday, they finished the regular season with a 67-15 win against Union. The Riverside girls ended with a 19-3 record overall and were 9-3 in their Class AA conference. They placed second in their conference, behind Neshannock, 9-2, and ahead of Mohawk, 7-3.
The post-season begins Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. against Brentwood at Ambridge High School.

Riverside Boys Win on Senior Night, Advance to Playoffs
The Riverside boys basketball team defeated New Brighton 82-44 on their Senior Night game.
Four Panthers broke 10 points. Justin Baust was the high scorer with 17 points. Dylan Speicher had 15, Jason Dambach 12 and Mike Boswell 10.
Seniors Tyler Squicero, Boswell and Dambach were honored, along with the senior cheerleaders.
Riverside finished the season 10-12 overall and 6-6 in their Class AA conference, earning a fourth place spot and advancing to the playoffs. The post-season begins Saturday at 3 p.m. with a game against East Allegheny at Fox Chapel High School.
