Riverside Varsity Pitchers Fox and Cameron Shutout Victory Against Mohawk

Riverside Panthers Varsity defeated Mohawk Area 10-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Danny Fox induced a groundout from Brayden Cameron to finish off the game.

Riverside put up five runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Riverside was led by Fox, Drew Speicher, Ben Hughes  and Ty Thellman, all knocking in runs in the inning.

A single by Tyler Cummings in the fourth inning was a positive for Mohawk Area. Fox was the winning pitcher for Riverside. He lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out ten.

Brett Bobin took the loss for Mohawk Area. He surrendered seven runs on six hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Riverside tallied 11 hits. SpeicherFox, and Hughes each collected two hits to lead. Riverside was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Speicher had the most chances in the field with ten.

Cummings went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Mohawk Area in hits. Mohawk Area didn’t commit a single error in the field. Joey Leslie had the most chances in the field with seven.
