Arise Lawrence County is reaching out to the community for support in creating Easter baskets for children whose families have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. These baskets offer more than holiday treats—they provide comfort, hope and a reminder that every child served is cared for and not alone.
“We want to make Easter morning special for the children in our programs,” the organization shared. “Each donation helps us show these young survivors that their community stands beside them.”
Arise Lawrence County is collecting both filled Easter baskets and individual basket fillers, including:
- Baskets
- Candy
- Plastic eggs
- Small toys
- Activity books
- Other small holiday-themed items
To insure that staff have time to assemble and distribute the baskets before the holiday, all donations must be received by Monday, March 23rd. Families will then be able to pick up their baskets in advance so children can enjoy them Easter morning.
Supporters can also donate by shopping through the organization’s Amazon Wish List at https://a.co/0aiUo59m.
“Your donations make a meaningful difference,” Arise Lawrence County added. “Thank you for helping us brighten Easter for the children and families we serve.
