Court along with Jessica Mudger and Johnna Johnston, representatives from Arise, placed ribbons and signs around downtown Ellwood City to kick off the Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Month of October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and Arise hopes to spread awareness and continue educating the community on violence prevention and healthy relationships. Ellwood City Decorated with Signs & Teal Ribbons For SAAM Day of Action

Mayor Anthony J. Court, Ellwood City Council and the Ellwood City Police Department joined forces with ARISE, formerly the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, on Tuesday, April 4th to recognize SAAM Day of Action. The first Tuesday of every April is the Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) Day of Action. The Day of Action is an opportunity to start off the month with highly visible and coordinated actions. ARISE Kicks Off Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Mayor Anthony J. Court and Sgt. Michael McBride helped Jessica Mudger, Outreach Specialist for ARISE get the month long awareness program started in the borough. Lawrence County ARISE placed purple bows and signs throughout the Ellwood City downtown area in observance of the cause.
