Mayor Anthony J. Court and the Borough of Ellwood City has decided to change Trick or Treat night from previous years.
In prior years it was held on Halloween night, but this year Ellwood City has announced it will now follow the annual Halloween parade – Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Court’s office announced in a statement that the borough is going to try this new date/time on a trial basis.
“I want to make this change and see how it works and hopefully it is better for all involved,” said Court in an emailed statement. “This will be a trial basis and I believe it is a step in the right direction for all involved in the Halloween activities.”
The Mayor also urges everyone to use extreme caution.
“There will be a lot of children out and about, so motorist please slow down, I want everyone to stay safe and have an enjoyable day/evening.” adds Court.
