EC Wolves Club Den Provides Donations

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II met on Wednesday January 10, 2024 at the Connequenessing Country Club.

At the meeting they presented a donation of $500 to the Ellwood City Meals on Wheels Program. Director Terry Crespo thanked the Wolves Club for their continued support of the important community program where thirty citizens receive meals Monday through Friday. Due to donations like theirs the program has not had to raise the costs to the participants. Wolves Club members serve as drivers and meal preparers.

There is a need for drivers to deliver the meals. It takes one hour of time once every three weeks to deliver meals to participants in the Ellwood City area. Please call Terry and Meals on Wheels at 724-752-9413

The Wolves Club presented a donation of $500 to the Divine Grace Social Services. Co-Directors Jan Baur and Cathy DeBlaso thanked the Wolves Club for their donation and commitment to the organization. Their donation helps provide food and services to 400 families in the community. Social Services completed their Shining Stars Program on December 13: where 127 families received hats, gloves, toys, blankets and coats for their children. Wolves Club members were thanked for volunteering to unload food trucks the first Thursday of the month as well as pack and give out food bags to clients.

The Wolves Club provided a donation of $250 to the Lillyville Church of God monthly food program. The church provides a once a month food distribution for families from the Fombell area.

The next fundraiser is the Golf Bash on February 17, 2024 from 12-5 at the Sons of Italy Hall. Members: Please help if you can.

These and other donations stem from the Wolves Club moto: “Pro bono Publico” which means “For the good of the public!”

The next meeting is on February 13, 2024, location to be announced at a later date.
