Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II Monthly Meeting Recap

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 8th at the Connequenessing Country Club.

The meeting was conducted by President Mike DeOtto.

The Wolves Club sponsored Annual Golf Bash held on Sunday, February 19, 2023 was successful. The event raised over $15,000 for the Wolves Club Scholarship Program. Thanks and appreciation was given to the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers for assisting at the event. Thanks and appreciation also went to the members who worked the event at the Sons Of Italy.

The Club is holding their 75th Anniversary Dinner on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Connequenessing Country Club. The cost of the dinner is $35 per person. Cocktails start at 5PM with dinner to follow at 6PM. A letter will be going out to members and reservations are required by April 8. A 75thAnniversary Memorial Book will be provided to those members attending the dinner. Books will be available after the dinner at $10 each.

The Club is sponsoring over $17,000 in scholarships to high school seniors at Lincoln and Riverside High School. Students should contact their respective guidance counselors for more information. Students can also apply online at pittsburghfoundation.com. The deadline for applications is April 8, 2023.

The Club will have their annual Scholarship Awards Dinner on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Connequenessing Country Club. Dinner will be at 6PM.

The Club works at the Ellwood City Arts and Crafts Festival as well as on community projects with the Ellwood City Lions Club and is supporting the Lions Club Night at The Races by sponsoring four horses. The Lions Club Night at the Races is on Saturday, March 25 at the Wayne Township Fire Hall.

The Wolves Club will be a food vendor at the Ellwood City Arts and Crafts Festival which runs from June 30 through July 2, 2023. Members were encouraged to help out during that weekend.

The Ellwood City Wolves Club is a group that has the motto “Pro Bono Publico”: translated as “for the good of the public” and provides support for community projects as well as providing scholarships to high school students. Their meetings are the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Please contact President Mike DeOtto if interested in joining the Wolves Club.
