The Ellwood City Borough Department of Public Works would like to invite all children between the ages of 4-12 to participate in a Community Garden Poster Contest!
For area residents that may have visited the Community Garden at 5 points in Ewing Park, you may have noticed picture boards on the utility shed. The current drawings were chosen from our coloring contest held in 2020 – and it’s time to refresh the drawings on the shed!
“This is a chore best accomplished by tiny hands and big hearts,” says Rhiannon Schnell. “The shed needs a little color and a lot of happy artwork to keep it looking bright!”
Here are the details:
- Open to all children between the ages of 4-12 years old that reside in the Borough of Ellwood City
- One winning design will be chosen from each age group (4-6, 7-9, 10-12) for a total of 3 winning designs.
- The winning artists will have their artwork prominently displayed in the community garden!
Official poster contest forms can be picked up by visiting the Borough Electric office at the municipal building. All submissions must be turned in by dropping them off at the Municipal Building or mailing them in no later than April 14, 2023.
Submissions can be mailed to:
