Ellwood City Sheetz Store to Host Grand Opening

Sheetz will host a Grand Opening Event at the new Ellwood City location on Thursday, Dec, 22 from 9-11 a.m.

The company will celebrate the opening of Store #763. In July, Sheetz Public Relations Manager, Nicholas Ruffner, told Ellwoodcity.org that the construction of the store at the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Fifth Street was on track with a tentative opening time frame of late December 2022. And he was accurate with his tentative time frame.

They were building up excitement for the event on their Facebook page in an official event, “We will cut the ribbon for our newest location and have giveaways too!

If you bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank you will receive a Sheetz branded bag (Limit one per customer while supplies last from 9:00AM-11:00AM).”

According to the Facebook event there will be prizes.

“#WhyTheSheetzNot walk away with the grand prize – One lucky customer will win Sheetz for a Year* (*$2,500 Sheetz Z-Card)! Sign-up at the store on 12/22/22 from 9-11 a.m. at the big red tent. The winner will be announced after the ribbon is cut at 11:00 a.m.”

The new, mega convenience store and gas station will be approximately 6,000 square feet with inside/outside seating and the capability to fuel 10 vehicles at one time.

“We are very excited to serve new customers in Ellwood City,” Ruffner said in July of 2022 as construction continued.
