Mayor Court Presents Yellow Ribbon Girls With Proclamation

Mayor Anthony J. Court presented the Yellow Ribbons Girls with a proclamation recognizing 20 years of commitment and dedication to our troops.

Yellow Ribbon Girls is a faith based group of local volunteers.

Bonnie Phillippi, Patti Phillippi, and Vicki Henley started The Yellow Ribbon Girls 20 years ago and sent over 40,000 packages to our deployed service men and women all over the world.

In February 2023, The Yellow Ribbon Girls are retiring.

They are hoping to pass the mission on to a new group to continue their mission. They would like to spread the word and ask for your continued support through the remainder of 2022. Mayor Court along with the Borough of Ellwood City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude for the Yellow Ribbon Girls’s hard work and dedication to our troops. The Borough congratulates them on their retirement.
