Red Barn Players Return With Four Summer Shows

After a couple of long, hard years, the Red Barn Players are excited to announce their 2022 season.

The theater will be back to their normal schedule of four shows performed in the months of June, July, August, and September and season tickets are now available.

Each Season Ticket for $55.00 and gives you (4) passes to be used in any combination during the Summer 2022 performances.

Season ticket holders may make reservations for this season beginning April 1 at 9:00 a.m. As in the past, go to www.RedBarnPlayers.com to make your reservations.

All “Rollover Tickets” have been entered into the Red Barn system. If you rolled over your 2019 and 2020 tickets, you should have received an email. If you did not, or have questions, please contact the Red Barn Players.

There are many roles to be filled this season and 2022 auditions are being held.

Auditions are being held on two days in March at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople. First on Thursday, March 10 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and later on Sunday, March 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Whose Wives Are They Anyway?”

The Ashley Maureen Cosmetics Company has been sold and two of its vice presidents, David McGrachen and John Baker, have planned a weekend off before the new CEO arrives on Monday. With their wives safely off on a shopping spree in New York City, they check into The Oakfield Golf and Country Club. They run into their boss, and she insists on meeting their wives. So … David and John must produce wives. Inevitably everything goes wrong as John moves in and out of bedrooms, changing from male to female at a frantic pace. Hilarious chaos ensues!

“Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”

Sebastian Sly, playwright, lives in a creepy old mansion called The Shadows. His arch enemy is the clever, but snide, drama critic Sylvia Frye. She hates stage thrillers and with her ruthless reviews, has forced Sebastian into retirement. In revenge, Sebastian invites her to his home where all manner of chills and thrills are trotted out to convince her she’s wrong about his work. We meet his other guests, a butler named Skull and a housekeeper named Bones!

Located in the same facility since 1955, the success of the organization is attributed to the hard work and dedication of its members. The theater is located on State Route 288 between Ellwood City and Zelienople.
