The 2021 Dodge Charger was purchased utilizing funds raised through Reed Services as well as assistance other generous donors and fundraisers.
Reed Services, Sgt. Michael McBride as well as K9 Officer Richard Kruger will be going to Shallow Creek Kennel on February 7, 2022 to meet with the representatives and to choose the new K9 for the Ellwood City Police
Department.
Once the new K9 has been chosen, K9 Officer Kruger will be attending a six week training with his new K9 at Shallow Creek Kennels in March 2022.
Upon completion of the six week training process, K9 Officer Kruger and his new partner will be on patrol together throughout Ellwood City Borough.
The Police Department would like to thank the continuous efforts of Reed Services, Ellwood City Mayor Anthony J. Court as well as our generous donors for their support in the effort to continue the K9 program with the Ellwood City Police Department.
