Mayor Anthony J. Court presented a proclamation to the Ellwood City Wolverines basketball team this week.
The team captured the school’s first WPIAL Championship in the school’s history in March with its victory over South Allegheny. [READ MORE] On their journey to WPIAL gold, the Wolverines defeated their last four opponents, all on road or neutral court, all higher seeds, and who combined for a 60-10 record.
Mayor Court stated, “Congratulations goes to a great group of students – athletes who accomplished so much!”
“I speak for the entire community when I say ‘You gentlemen have made us all so proud! Again Great job.’ What a great year and God Bless you all,” concluded Court.
