Hygiene Helper Container Introduce At Giant Eagle

A new container introduced at Ellwood City Giant Eagle is aimed to help provide hygiene products for kids in need.

Gina Morini Felouzis, of Mario’s Giant Eagle, in Ellwood City, and Riverside Lions club president, Chip Campbell, introduced the new contained stationed within Giant Eagle to collect donated hygiene products.

The donated items will be distributed among area students in need.

Campbell hopes people will treat the container like ‘Toys for Tots,’ only for hygiene products that, although not recognized, have a great bearing on student’s performance in the classroom.

According to TheHygieneBank.com, hygiene poverty is shaming, humiliating and excluding and can result in social isolation. It leads to a crippling lack of confidence and negatively affects good health and mental well-being which can impact early childhood development, learning, employability and social interaction.
