The Yellow Ribbon Girls will be hosting a spaghetti dinner as a fundraiser to help with the monthly shipping costs on the care packages they mail around the world to our deployed troops

“Each month between 80- 90 care packages are shipped.  Currently, we are shipping to 13 countries,” said Yellow Ribbon Representative, Bonnie Phillippi.

The dinner will be held on Saturday, February 23 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. It will be hosted in the Monaca Sons of Italy building located at 1115 Pacific Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061.

The menu includes pasta, salad, a roll with butter, as well as a dessert. If you cannot eat at the location, take out orders are available.  In addition to food, there will be several raffle baskets award at the conclusion of the dinner.

The suggested donation for the meal is at adults costing $10, children aging from 3 to 10 years of age costing $5, and any child under 3 years of age are free.

“February 2019 will start our 16th year of monthly care packages to the troops deployed around the world,” Phillippi said. “We are blessed to have between 40 – 70 volunteers help each month. Many are from the Ellwood Area but others travel in from Butler and Pittsburgh.”
