Lincoln High Presents “Little Woman”

Louisa May Alcott’s beloved story, Little Women, will arrive on the stage at Lincoln High School in Ellwood City on Friday, November 10 and Saturday, November 11 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 12 at 2 p.m.

You may have read the book or seen one of the movies, but you haven’t seen the story come to life as it will in this Broadway musical adaptation.

The directorial team consists of Laura Adams – Music Director, Casey Falotico – Stage Director, Felecia Greco – Producer, and Renee Watterson, Choreographer.

The story follows the four unforgettable March sisters, romantic Meg, intrepid Jo, sweet Beth, and stubborn Amy, as they grow up in the Civil War-era New England.

The story is full of adventure as well as romance, as the sisters navigate through the struggles and rewards of friendship, loyalty, grief, and love. As Jo journeys toward her dearest ambition, being a famous writer, she and the audience both come to learn that (as it says in the show), “sometimes when you dream, your dreams come true.”

“This story is timeless for a reason,” says Falotico. “Each of the girls is so unique, yet they face similar struggles in figuring out what kind of people they want to be and where they fit into the world. We can all see ourselves in them, and that’s why the show is so special. On top of that, the music is just stunning and really matches the beauty of the story.”

Bringing these March sisters to life are Lincoln High School students Cami Cortez (a junior) as Jo March, Haley Wright (a sophomore) as Meg, Annie Macom (a junior) as Beth, and Tara Marsh (a junior) as Amy. Avery Schanno and Danica Teodoro (both seniors) will play the girls’ mother and great-aunt, respectively. The girls’ best friend and neighbor, Laurie, will be played by Tanner Tomak (a freshman). Other featured cast members include Dominic Tomasello (a senior), Jack Brown (a freshman), Zach Stiles (a sophomore).

A complete cast list is below.

Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for children and senior citizens (62 or older). Tickets are on sale every Tuesday and Thursday evening in Lincoln’s Auditorium from 7-9 p.m. You can also order tickets by emailing ellwoodcitymusical@gmail.com or by calling 724-752-1591 ext. 3002.
