One of the biggest local hits, Bigfoot The Movie, created by Jared Show, an Ellwood City native now residing in California, was shot in Ellwood City during fall of 2013 and spring of 2014 and is still an often-talked-about subject among locals.
Since the first airing, the movie has made its way onto several streaming platforms including Amazon Prime, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, Xbox, OverDrive, and Vimeo, but has yet to reach Netflix and Hulu.
“So far the movie has been getting a great response and that’s why we would love to get the movie on Netflix, because we just want to get it out there as much as possible,” Show stated.
Show is now offering a chance to win some free Bigfoot The Movie merchandise for anyone who votes to add the movie on Netflix and hopes that the votes will be enough to finally get the movie on Netflix.
“We are trying Hulu and Netflix because they have such a big audience and it’s something that’s always been a goal of ours. We want to get it to that point when you tell a friend to check out the movie and they ask where can they can see it, the response can be “everywhere,” he said.
Winners will be picked at random and have the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Spreadshirt (where all of our merchandise can be obtained), signed DVDs of Bigfoot The Movie by the main cast, and T-shirts.
