Mayor Presents Tamburitzan Commendation

On Sunday, April 9, 2017 The Tamburitzans from Pittsburgh PA performed in Ellwood City.

Mayor Court proclaimed April 9, 2019 as “Tamburitzans Day” in Ellwood City, by presenting a Proclamation at the Ellwood City Rotary Club meeting in March.

Alena Kucan, who is from Ellwood City was also presented with a commendation by Mayor Court for her outstanding performance and she is viewed by many as a “ROLE MODEL” for the young adults throughout the region.

The Tamburitzans are in their 80th season promoting cultural awareness through their entertaining performances, representing many countries like Croatia, Bulgaria, Russia, France, Roma, Ukraine and several others.  They travel around the world touring and entertaining audiences of all cultures.

Mayor Court was honored to attend this magnificent performance as everyone involved were excellent and displayed an outstanding performance.  Ellwood City is proud that one of their residents if part of this wonderful group of individuals.
