Sedgwick Throws Shutout as Ellwood City Wolverines Defeats Beaver

Shane Sedgwick didn’t allow a single run as Ellwood City Wolverines defeated Beaver 2-0 on Saturday. Sedgwick allowed just four hits.

Ellwood City Wolverines didn’t take the lead until later in the game. Anthony Roth grounded out, scoring one run.

A single by Vinny Mastrangelo in the fourth inning was a positive for Beaver.

Shane Sedgwick earned the win for Ellwood City Wolverines. He pitched seven innings, giving up zero runs, four hits, and striking out four. Mason Rose took the loss for Beaver. He tossed five innings, allowing two runs, three hits, and striking out two.

Roth went 0-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in.
