Several annual Ellwood City Christmas events took place this weekend including the greatly anticipated Light Up Night on Friday evening, the Christmas Parade Saturday midday, and Christmas in the Park also on Saturday, in the evening.
Many local residents, organizations, and businesses took part in the parade; even the recently elected State Representative, Aaron Bernstine, could be seen handing out candy in the parade!
Christmas in the Park provided visitors a glorious display of lights and Christmas trees that had been decorated and sponsored by a large array of local organizations and businesses. Kids (and puppies) could get their pictures for free with Santa in Santa Land, and horse-drawn carriage rides around Ewing Park were also complimentary.
WXED, Ellwood City’s local radio station provided festive music for the events.
