Mary Frances Conti, 86

Mary Frances Conti, 86, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born on Dec. 13, 1929 in New Brighton to the late Leonard G. and Mildred A. Reynolds Babcock, Sr. Mary is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City. She had worked at the Ellwood City Glass Plant, Christy’s Grocery Store, and later at Value King grocery store which was located on Wampum Ave. in the deli department and as a checkout clerk. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley (Carolyn) Conti of Cranberry Twp., Brian (Kim) Conti of Ellwood City, Martin (Rosemary) Conti of Titusville, and Erik (Tabatha) Conti of Greensboro, N.C., her 10 grandchildren, Rachel, Jason, Anthony, Nick, Brianne, Frank, Brandi, Jeremy, Mia and Quinlan, and her nine great-grandchildren, Max, Samantha, Elizabeth, James Anthony, Cadence, Aydan, Joey Kay, Parker and Charlotte.

She is also survived by her brother, Leonard G. “Buddy” (Sharon) Babcock of Fresno, Ca., her life long friend Minnie Ferrante, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James A. Conti whom she married on Dec. 4, 1948 and passed away on Oct. 31, 1984, her sister, Norma Jean Babcock, and her brother, Barney Shively.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. Services for Mrs. Conti will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Pat Cleary officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the UPMC Cancer Center, Beaver, 1030 Beaver Hollow Rd., Beaver, Pa 15009.
