Central Valley jumped out to a 5-0 lead and withstood a furious late inning rally by the Lady Wolverines to come out with a 5-4 victory on Saturday. After the Warriors made it 5-0 in the fourth by scoring three times, Ellwood City started its rally in the sixth inning. Both Ellwood City and Riverside softball teams will enter their 2023 regular season campaigns with sights set on returning to the WPIAL Playoffs, continuing streaks for both teams.
