Bernstine Says $682,923 in State Grants Approved for Beaver, Lawrence Counties

HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) announced today that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) awarded a total of $682,923 for regional development projects in Beaver and Lawrence counties. In Beaver County, Mycelia Development, LLC was awarded a $448,953 grant to construct a 16,670-square-foot cultural life and arts center within the downtown core of Beaver Falls. 46th Annual Wampum Area Christmas Parade

Wampum, PA – On Thursday evening, November 29th, hundreds of local folks enjoyed a full fireworks display preceded by Wampum’s “Light Up the Town” where homemade luminaries lined main Street and Wampum’s old-fashioned decorations were lighted for the season. Refreshments were served along with pockets of entertainment including cloggers, wood carving demonstrations and Carolers were found throughout Main Street. And horse-drawn carriage rides were available all evening. Wampum Announces Annual Christmas Parade

It’s that time again and plans are underway for the 46th annual Wampum Area Christmas Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday, December 1st at 1:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Wampum America Legion Post 749, American Legion Auxiliary, Wampum Lions Club, Wampum Area Women’s Club, and Wampum Area Business Association. The 26-year-old Dallas Star and Wampum native Stephen Johns takes his viewers on a tour of his hometown in this published video made available on NHL.com presented by Kia. The 6’4″ 221-pound defenseman finished with 15 points and a plus-10 rating in 75 games last season for the Dallas Stars. Johns played four seasons at Notre Dame, scoring 15 goals and 57 points in 164 games, and led the team to the 2013 Central Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament title. Wampum Trail Town Festival

The Wampum Trail Town Festival will be held rain or shine from 11:00 am  to 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 23, at the Wampum Train Station, 303 Main Street, Wampum, PA 16157.  Vendors will be able to begin setting up at 9:30 am and are expected to remain set up until 3:00 pm. Wampum’s Wine & Beer Festival Set For March 24

The Wampum Area Revitalization Committee will hold a Wine & Beer Festival from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on March 24th at the Wampum Gymnasium, located at 372 Main Street. Regional craft beer and wine makers will be present to offer tastings and products. Food and appetizers will be provided by the Lawrence County Career and Technology Center ( LCCTC) Restaurant Trade Program direct by Jennifer Price. Wampum, PA – Each year, the Wampum Area Christmas Parade Committee prepares floats that do not compete in the popular float contest. They like to add to parade line-up each to assure new and fresh content to complement the familiar traditions. Wampum Light Up Night Announced

Wampum Area Business Association announces its Light Up the Town Night on Thursday, November 30, 2017 starting at 6:00 p.m. They will be dedicating the “all new over the street Christmas Decorations” that were purchased by donations from local businesses and the community.
