Wampum American Legion Offering Another All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast

The Wampum American Legion if offering another all-you-can-eat Breakfast, this one schedule for on Saturday, April 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event is scheduled to take place at the Legion club located at 436 Beaver Street, Wampum, PA 16157. The menu features scrambled eggs, home fries, french toast, sausage, biscuits & gravy, bacon, toast, coffee, tea and orange juice. Costs for the breakfast are $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children five years and younger. “The first breakfast was a great success. We appreciate your support,” says Wampum Auxilary Post 749 President, Marsha Moore.

Wampum held its 49th Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday. Over 50 units, including cars, floats, bands and marching groups participated in the parade. which is billed as the biggest Christmas parade in Lawrence County. This year the parade was dedicated to Frank Yoho of Wayne Township, who had portrayed Santa Claus in the parade for 28 years. Sign Ups Being Accepted for Upcoming Wampum Christmas Parade

Sign your kids up for treats! The Wampum Area 49th Annual Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 4, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Wampum Area Christmas Parade Committee is still accepting sign-ups for treat bags. Following the Parade on December 4th, Santa Claus will distribute treat bags to children in the Wampum gymnasium. COVID-19 protocol will be followed. Treat bags are free to Wampum area children. “Friends Of The Park” Help Fix Up Wampum Community Park

Wampum Park is a local park that over the years had began to get run down and was in need of repairs and updates and when Karen Goebel saw this, she knew someone needed to do something. So she did it. Goebel. a local of the area, talked with the borough in the fall of 2020 and asked if there was anything they could do to help. In a post on social media Sunday, the Wampum Area Christmas Parade Committee (WACP) announced the cancellation of their annual Christmas Parade. “After much consideration. The Wampum Area Business Association announced its annual “Light Up The Town” scheduled for Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Route 288 Bridge Replacement Project Progress

With many focused on the pending status and re-opening of the Koppel Bridge, another local bridge replacement is taking place in Wayne Township and will have forthcoming lane restrictions and brief detour later this month. Bernstine Says $682,923 in State Grants Approved for Beaver, Lawrence Counties

HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) announced today that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) awarded a total of $682,923 for regional development projects in Beaver and Lawrence counties.
