Birds chirping and warmer weather means one thing – it is golf season! Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce 29th Annual Golf Open is on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Olde Stonewall Golf Club. Olde Stonewall is considered Western Pennsylvania’s Premier Golf Destination. Ellwood City Wolverines fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-1 loss to Riverside on Wednesday. Riverside scored on a single by Will Yasenka, a single by Anthony Tollari, and a fielder’s choice by Ricky Wass in the second inning. Riverside captured the lead in the second inning. Lady Wolverines Pass First Test, Defeat Avonworth 12-6 The Antelopes entered the game with a ton of offensive hype and an undefeated record.
