Two Lincoln High School students received scholarships from the Lincoln High School Class of 1957. Hannah Rose Keally is this year’s recipient of the $5,000 scholarship given by the Lincoln High School Class of 1957 while Levi Alexander Smith received the $500 best essay award from the Class of ’57. Hannah is majoring in fashion design in the College of Arts at Kent State University which gave her a president’s achievement award and an honors distinction award. Ellwood City Hungarian Home gives $750 scholarships to graduates of Lincoln, Riverside

(Ellwood City) Levi Smith and Kathryn Coyne, graduates of Lincoln and Riverside high schools, respectively, have been selected to receive $750 scholarships from the Ellwood City Hungarian Home. Smith, a son of Joanne Smith of Harmony, plans to attend Drexel University in Philadelphia this fall and major in accounting. Coyne, a daughter of Robert and Margaret Coyne of Beaver Falls, also plans to attend Drexel University and major in product design. Wolves Club Announce Scholarship Deadline Extended

The Ellwood City Wolves Club is once again offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in the Ellwood City Area School District and Riverside Beaver County School District who plan to attend a four-year college, community college, trade or technical school following graduation. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award the Robert and Janice Barensfeld scholarships of $1,500.00 each to two graduating seniors in 2020 who have been accepted into an institution of higher learning. Jack Ferrante Memorial Scholarship Tournament Results

Forty-two golfers participated in the annual Jack Ferrante Memorial Scholarship Tournament held last Sunday at the Del Mar Golf Course. The two-man team of Dexter Boots and David Marshall placed first with Chris Cioffi and Rick Grinnen winning the runner-up honors in the Best Ball Tournament. The Scholarship is awarded every year to a senior on the Ellwood City Wolverines Golf Team. This year’s recipient is Alex Scott, who will be attending Penn State University this Fall. Jack Ferrante Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament

The Jack Ferrante Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be at Del Mar Golf Course on Sunday, August 11. The tournament is named after Jack Ferrante, who had been the first Groundskeeper/Pro at the Del Mar Golf Course. “He played an important role in the development of the course in the early 1960s,” said event organizer, Joe Cioffi, in a statement. BC3 Golf Outing Draws 110, Raises Record $90K to Support Student Scholarships
