Moraine State Park Regatta Returns August 2nd & 3rd

(Portersville, PA) – Butler County’s signature summer event, The Moraine State Park Regatta, returns August 2nd and 3rd. The annual weekend-long event connects thousands of people with the outdoors through free, hands-on environmental education and eco-recreational activities, including paddleboarding, fishing, archery, and yoga. Portersville – The 24th annual Moraine State Park Regatta will return this August 5-6 on the shores of Lake Arthur’s South Shore (225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville, PA 16051). Moraine State Park Regatta Aims to Improve Shoreline

Moraine State Park Regatta is looking forward to raising funds for a shoreline improvement project on the south shore of Moraine State Park. This proposed project is a shoreline stabilization project along the south shore, near the “Picnic Point”. Moraine State Park is a beautiful place, and this shoreline stabilization project has two primary purposes, both structural and environmental, as well as tourism-related. By stabilizing the shoreline along the south shore, the lake is being preserved.
