2023 Ellwood City Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2023 Ellwood City Homecoming Court! Ellwood City will celebrate their 67th Annual Homecoming festivities next week when the Wolverines host the New Brighton Lions at Helling Stadium on Friday, October 6th. Students will celebrate all week with themed Spirit Days sponsored by Student Council. The 2023 Homecoming King will be crowned at a school pep rally on Friday afternoon and the 2023 Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime of the football game that evening. When the members of the Lincoln High School Class of 1968 received their diplomas, The Jackson 5’s, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Aretha Franklin were at the top of the music charts. Getting the Class of 1968 back together for its 55th reunion is going to be great fun; catching-up with friends, do some reminiscing and re-telling some fond stories of way back when, said one of the organizers of the event. The Lincoln High School Class of 1978 enjoyed its 45th Class Reunion on Saturday, July 22nd at the Wurtemburg/Perry Fire Department. Sixty classmates and 30 guests celebrated the reunion celebration. A buffet dinner and dessert was provided along with a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese Auction.


LHS Class of 1959 Holds Mini Reunion

With 32 classmates in attendance, the Ellwood City Lincoln High School Class of 1959 held a mini reunion on June 30th at Mike’s Main Street, on Lawrence Avenue. Special guests included Bob Morrow, Mayor Anthony Court, Coach Jeff “Gino” Fotia, and Attorneys Larry and Marisa Kelly. Classmate Keith Morrison traveled the farthest to attend, logging 1,132 miles from Florida. Eight attendees came from out of state. Ellwood City Wolves Club Awards $18,035 in Scholarships This Year To Local Students

On Wednesday, May 31st, the Ellwood City Wolves Den II hosted a dinner to honor the recipients of the Wolves Club Scholarships for 2023. Ten Wolves Club Scholarships, with a value of $18,035, were awarded this year including three new ones. Wolves Club president, Mike DeOtto commented, “Higher education puts students on the path to many different careers. Lincoln High School Top Nine & Graduating Class of 2023

The Lincoln High School graduating Class of 2023 will receive their diplomas Thursday, June 1st, during a ceremony scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Helling Stadium in Ewing Park. Lincoln High School is graduating 89 students with nine students receiving high honors. Students will follow 2022-23 classes for the last time on Wednesday. On June 24, 2023 the Lincoln High School Class of 2003 will hold its 20 year reunion. It will be held at Robert E. Three local students were awarded scholarships at the Ellwood City Historical Society on Monday. Sam Kline and Hayden Slade were each recipients of the $1,500.00 Robert & Janice Barensfeld Scholarships and Gabrielle Davis was the recipient of the $10,000.00 Marlene Painter Scholarship.  Davis and Slade are graduating seniors at Lincoln High School and Kline is a graduating senior at Riverside School District.
