Art students at Lincoln High spent yesterday’s school day painting holiday scenes on Lawrence Avenue and Fifth Street windows. More information about the event can be viewed by clicking here. Three of the participating students, Alex Schilling, Makena Hall, and Natalie Maine braved the cold weather and painted these beautiful designs on our windows at EllwoodCity.org! The Riverside High School Varsity Softball will be hosting a pancake breakfast at Lillyville Church, from 8:30a.m. – 11:30a.m. this Saturday, November 18. There will be a wide variety of pancakes to choose from including buttermilk, buckwheat, blueberry and chocolate chip. There will even be a topping bar! Three baskets will be raffled off including two Panther baskets and one Steelers basket. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for 55+, $5 for veterans, $5 for children 3-10, and free for children under 3.
To kick off the giving season, senior citizens in two local nursing homes will be receiving hand crafted wreaths early in December. Progressive Home Health, a Monaca based home health care agency serving senior citizens in the local counties, has teamed up with the art students at Lincoln High School to create wreaths to give to local elderly patients for Christmas. Emily Morris, a worker for Progressive Home Health, said in previous years they have had grade school students make cards for the patients, but this is the first year they have been able to coordinate the wreath project. “My…
