If you haven’t seen the gingerbread houses made by the stylists at Shear Paradise Salon on Lawrence Avenue, you’re missing out! There are four gingerbread houses on display, each one designed completely by the stylists. The public gets to choose which house they like the best by casting their vote inside the salon, and the winner receives a gift card. Ellwood City Man Faces Charges After Attempted Assault with Knife

Travis Ford Bates, 26, of River Road, is facing charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after an incident late last month. According to the criminal complaint, Bates was accused by his mother and her boyfriend of attempted assault with a knife after an argument about money. The mother stated that Bates had entered her bedroom while she was lying in bed and started yelling and making advances towards the couple with the knife. Ellwood City Wolverines Emerge Victorious Against Springdale

Ellwood City used double-double efforts from Broc Boariu and Sean Busby to emerged victorious 65-56 against Springdale Wednesday night at Lincoln High School. Busby finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds (6 offensive) to power the Wolverine offense attack that ack with a vengeance in the final two quarters, after being behind early in the game, trailing 30-26 at the half. Lincoln gained on their opponent late in the game, scoring a game-high 23 points in the third quarter. Ellwood City Wolverines Lose to Quaker Valley

Leetsdale, PA – Wolverine guard Anthony Roth put 21 points on the scoreboard, but Lincoln fell to Quaker Valley 88-57 Tuesday Night in a relatively high-scoring affair. Roth led Ellwood City Wolverines offense with 21 points, including 12 during the second period. He also contributed seven rebounds and one block. Roth spent plenty of time at the charity stripe, connecting on 14 of 16 free throw attempts to boon his scoring total. SOI Kids Christmas Treat Event

The SOI Christmas treat for kids will be this Saturday, December 16 at 2:00 pm at the Sons of Italy social hall in Ellwood City. This event is open to the public. Children will sing Christmas Carols and Santa will be there to hand out treats to all the children.
