VIDEO: ECPD Looking for Armed Robbery Suspect

The Ellwood City Police Department is looking for an armed robber, according to a post on their Facebook. They have since uploaded security footage video to the page showing the thief shying away from the camera and taking money from the cash register. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the station.

Ellwood City Wolverines Fall Short Against New Brighton

Ellwood City’s pre-Christmas game against New Brighton, 12/22/2017 Despite Anthony Roth putting 26 points on the board, Lincoln lost to New Brighton 52-50. New Brighton (PA) locked in the win in the fourth quarter on a three pointer from Thomas Kirby. Despite a strong finish, with 16 points in the final quarter, Ellwood City Wolverines failed to secure the win. Peace Light in Ellwood City

In early December, the Peace Light began its journey from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem. The flame has been burning for over 1,000 years. Ellwood got the light by way of the Mason Dixon Boy Scout Council of Hagerstown, Maryland. You may get this light by bringing a candle to the DaySring Church on 6th Street on Saturday from 10a.m. to 1p.m. then Saturday at Habitual Vape & Skate Shop at 505 Lawrence Ave. from 1p.m. to 7:45p.m. The light will be at 123 Orchard Ave. on Sunday from 1p.m. to 3p.m.
